Back From DC

Mom and I got to see Joanna recently. It was great to see her mid-deployment. We stayed with Jen for a week and had a nice trip cross country. I took the Harley and rode around DC but certainly didn't get enough riding time. I missed my big Grand Canyon ride seeing Jo but it was better to see her than my Biker buddies. I am trying to see what I can set up for a ride in July.

On the way back Mom and I went to the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. It is a tremendous museum and I like it better than the Smithsonian. It is huge and has planes from all eras. I want to go back, so if Joanna goes to the grad school there, I will definitely visit it again. There are several hangar sized galleries. I could have stayed for hours but Marilyn is not as in to it as me (like when we went to Normandy).

This will sound so weird, but I love the pin-up girls that were painted on the old planes! I think they look so cool.

I went up there during college and realized they had to put that museum there because there is nothing else around for about 5,000,000,000000000 miles. Well, at least 50.

You should have added an entire paragraph about all of the repairs and upgrades you spent time doing to my apartment! Thanks for doing all that stuff for me Dad. It was so nice to have you and Mom visit.
