I am really ready for this summer break. Seniors start exams next week and everything will be over in 2 weeks. The kids are unusually squirrelly right now and I am tired of their antics. Maybe I am just getting older, but kids seem to be more immature than in the past. These 2 weeks can't pass fast enough!
We have finalized our first motorcycle trip this year. Our teacher group will leave Denver on June 12 and go to Tuba City, Arizona. The next morning we go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and then continue to Las Vegas. The third day we head north through Zion National Park and head to Moab, Utah. The final morning we will ride through Arches National Park and then home to Denver. I think it will be a good trip.
I definitely want to visit Jennifer in DC in July also. It looks like I will have lots of "iron butt" time this summer.

"Iron Butt" is what happens when you sit on a motorcycle too long, but I definitely have buns of steel!
Bring your buns over to D.C. I am lonely and want you to come. Plus, Jimmy misses you!
When in July are you going to come?
P.S. There are a gazillion motorcyclists here in D.C. over the Memorial Day weekend. This morning, on my way to work, I saw a line of about 2,000 of them streching the whole length of I-395 going the opposite direction of me into the city. It gave me the chills, made me smile, and miss my dad.
